Rich is a collector of Heritage Peonies. When an old house is being torn down to make way for a modern one, Rich salvages the left behind abandoned plants. In his yard he has over 70. A woman who has an unused 7 acre field lets Rich keep another 2000 plants there. That parcel of land will be on the market soon so all of those plants will need a new home soon. Rich is also involved with Working Bikes Cooperative a non-profit group that recycles old bikes to poor people and third world countries. He has recycled 1000 bikes in the last 3 years sending them onto a useful life instead of the trashdumps.
